Question:
What is your reason to vote for Obama?

1. Leadership – Obama has created the largest grassroots campaign with an enormous amount of new donors. People believe him, they are inspired by him. He has proven he has the political skill to persuade large groups of citizens to agree with his policies, this can break the strangehold of competing interests in Congress. This can ease the tensions with Hamas, Iran, North Korea and even lift the Cuban embargo. We need a leader who will talk to countries, not create illusions of WMD’s. Obama thinks outside-the-box and listens to what needs to be done to keep tensions down.

2. Foreign Policy – He will change the direction of the war. Obama has been against the war from the beginning and understands that there is no way to win in Iraq. The Iraq war is a sad case of “escalating commitment” therefore we must remove our depleting resources and exhausted troops out of Iraq as quickly and safely as possible. This will restore a positive view of peace keeping Americans in the eyes of the Arab world. Remember, there never has been peace in the Middle East and American resources will not change that.
3. Domestic Policy – Bush’s domestic policy is spending more money (like a 16yr old with daddy’s credit card) and cutting more taxes. Since Bush has been in office, the accumulated national debt has risen from $5.77 trillion to just over $9 trillion (a 50% increase in 7 years). Our economy is in shambles because of Bush’s need to police the world. McCain is now promising to continue Bush’s failed policies. Obama’s policy is to restore fiscal discipline to Washington;

 Reinstating PAYGO (pay as you go) rules. – We all have budgets in our businesses and homes. If there is no money don’t spend it.
 Cut pork barrel spending – Who owes more favors - a life long Senator or a 2 term Senator?
 All federal contracts over $25,000 are competitively bid – No more free rides for Haliburton

4. He'll help crush the African-American "victim" mentality that Jesse Jackson, Reverend Wright and Al Sharpton have cultivated for years for their own enrichment at the expense of the Black Community.

I have NO reason to vote for him and will NOT. As for your #4 topic - How can you believe that? That is exactly what he has been doing for years until here recently when it became obvious it was hurting his campaign. Only then did he try to distance himself from Rev. Wright that he has followed for years.

well lets see how right you are after the election. All the candidates promise left & right ,up & down, but they all change after they are elected & they go with the flow they can't just change everything it all has to be worked out...Speaking of African American mentality, who is a bigger fool than Al Sharpton? He has done nothing compare to Martin Luther King or Jesse Jackson. Sharpton has black people thinking like they are victims. He has them mentally crippled listening to him.

I have no reason to vote for Obama But I have alot of reasons not to vote for this fool. Are Barack Obama's Friends Crazy?

1.Ted Kennedy:July 18, 1969 a drunk Ted Kennedy would drive off a bridge and leave a young girl (Mary Jo Kopechne) to die in the back seat of his car. He did not report the accident for 9 hours. Kennedy was guilty of manslaughter as anyone would be if they killed a passenger while driving drunk (He had been drinking rum and coke and Heineken beer from 4:30-11:15). Yet never went to jail. Hell, there was never a trial. What the hell, make him a senator. He is a RICH, WHITE LIBERAL and a KENNEDY. What if Mary Jo were your daughter?

2.William Ayers:Ayers was a terrorist.

3.Jeremiah Wright:A Racist

4.Barack Hussein Obama's wife:She says it's the first time in her adult lifetime that she's been proud of her country!

5.John Kerry:Kerry called the troops stupid.

A man is as only as good as his friends, and it looks like he did not keep very good friends, and I do not know what to think about that.

Obama's real name is Barry Obama Why did he change his name to Barack Hussein Obama? That Worries Me.

How will Barack Obama pay for $660 billion in new spending programs will he raise taxes on families and small businesses?

Is three years in the Senate enough experience to be President?

Why did Barack Obama vote 'present' 130 times avoiding decisions on abortion, crime and guns?

I didn't vote for Obama, I did vote for Al Franken. I really think Al Franken cares and will really work for the interest of the people.

I disagree with your comments on Jackson, Sharpton, etc. but you are entitled to your opinion.

I also disagree with the folks who call him the ANTICHRIST, supporter of Hamas, etc. etc. I see those labels as buzz words for black. You pretty much know you who are dealing with when you hear those buzz words people use to keep from being called "racist".

I could disagree with (BUT RESPECT) people who were open enough to admit that they simply can't bring themselves to vote for a black man, but those who are in denial are harder to debate because they are not being honest.

I already mailed in my ballot in the Oregon Primary for Obie. The man gotz skillz. All your reasons make sense. My Union endorses him, and as a dues-paying member, that's good enough for me.

Plus, like if one person above me says ... if he really was the biblical "Antichrist" (lookout, it's the 'boogeyman'!) then he's destined to win ANYWAY. Let's get this "end-times" thing going ... WOO-HOO! It's about time the God of the Christian Bible actually shows up for something.

I'm voting for Obama because I'm sick of wealthy white men running this country, and all they care about is lining their pockets with money from lobbyists and special interest groups. Obama has already shown he's a man of class and integrity, with new vision and new ideas. He's willing to sit down and talk to people he doesn't always agree with to settle differences, only a smart and thoughtful President would do that. Thank you Barack, for restoring my faith in politics.

You have some good points. I will vote for him because he is the best candidate available, because he's not a republican, I agree with his stance on how the rest of the world views us, and I agree with his tax breaks for companies that keep their employees in the United States (amoung many other reasons).
