Barack Obama leads John McCain by 46 percent to 39 percent, according to a FOX News national registered voter poll released Friday.
We all know Fox News polls are notoriously biased, but if they are showing Obama whipping McCain's butt...what do the real numbers show?

Is McCain on a collision course with destiny?

A poll is a poll. What good would it do for Fox to falsely report the results? It wouldn't help their favored candidate, which I agree with you is McCain, but it would also make them look like they can't even do a poll. Also, perhaps the strategy is to scare the Republicans so they raise more money or do more campaigning? One reason polls aren't that reliable, however, is that some people, like me, won't do a telephone poll. I don't want to encourage "telemarketing-type" calls, and also they ask information I don't want to give. If I could do an internet poll, I would do it, but so far all the polls I've been asked to participate in are telephone polls.

ROFL @ the "answer" of John M and even harder LOL at the idea that "fox news" is actually an unbiased news channel.

Sure, if you call some one who went to one of the nation's best Universities and achieved senate so early in his age and has served in it for 8 years now some one with "no achievements" then I'd really LOVE to hear YOUR RESUME and YOUR list of accomplishments to see if you're anywhere close to his!

You don't have to like the guy- you don't have to vote for him. That is your American right, but to sit there and say he has no experience and no achievements is a total joke and it speaks of hot air coming from your mouth instead of where it's intended to come out of.

soo....good luck in the crazy people house because clearly, that's where you belong.

aww..now it looks like that John M guy took out his long list of crazy nonsence! =/ i swear it was there and I wasn't just talking to my self.

To ABCDEFG -- The reason they would have polled more democrats is because they are including an accurate representation of the us population. There are more registered democrats than republicans currently, to poll on a 50/50 split would not be statistically relevant.

CNNs poll is showing a different percentage. They have their own polls that you can vote online. I do not believe what percent they say. We will see come Election day

Obama's advantage comes mainly from doing better among women, blacks, young voters, those with a college degree, and unmarried voters. He has increased his edge over McCain among women to 16 percentage points, up from a 4-point edge last month (Sept. 8-9).

With all obama's terrorist money i suspect that they paid Fox like they do cnn and others to do a poll in a Dem/black area and it shows obama winning, nothing to get all excited about.

Because they are fair and balanced. Those are the real numbers, now go get over yourself.

Because the Dem and Obama exposed McCain as a right-wing neo-con.

FOX "NEWS" is trying its hardest to show the least of all the polls favoring Obama.

FOX NEWS is in the PNAC's pocket.

never in the history of polling has a candidate won who had a lead in the polls as the one obama has. now if you have not learned history never lies and always repeats itself. obama will NOT win. sorry better luck with your next candidate.

McCain will prevail. Obama can have fun in the meantime but he'll be crying come Election Day.
