Obama's wild swing involved having four of the most abrasively anti-gay gospel singers represent his campaign on his "Embrace the Courage" gospel music tour in South Carolina. The gay bashing headliners included Reverends Donnie McClurkin and Hezekiah Walker, Pentecostal pastor of Brooklyn mega-church, the Love Fellowship Tabernacle and Mary Mary (a sister act duo).

The Mary Mary sisters compare gays to murderers and prostitutes. In an interview with Vibe magazine, one of the singers said, "They [gays] have issues and need somebody to encourage them like everybody else - just like the murderer, just like the one full of pride, just like the prostitute."

McClurkin's previous political involvement was performing for George Bush at the Republican National Convention in 2004. Now he's singing for Obama. And, while stumping for the candidate McClurkin didn't just "get on stage, sing, and shut up" as some in the Obama campaign hoped he would do. He sermonized: "God delivered me from homosexuality" - as though one could simply "pray the gay away." The predominately black crowd inside the Township Auditorium in Columbia clapped their approval of McClurkin's message. Meanwhile a small, predominately white group of gay rights supporters picketed outside the venue.

Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean that it isn't true. The concert wasn't politics, it was a Christian concert. Simply put. Homosexuality IS a sin. As are adultery, fornication, murder, lying, stealing, etc. It doesn't mean the person is bad and God loves the homosexual person, but he hates the lifestyle. So that is where comparison comes from. Homosexuality is spiritually and morally wrong. You don't have to agree, but Bible says it's a sin.



God DID deliver Donnie McClurking from homosexuality, as He has many other people. Have you read his book? Have you listened to him speak before? That is a beautiful testimony of the saving power of God. Don't speak against him like that, especially if you haven't been through it.



Obama is a Christian. I don't know of any way to say this. So why is it hard to believe that he would not sponser a Gospel concert? You should put yourself in someone else's shoes, sometimes. There are lots of hurting homosexuals that are praying for deliverance, and God can deliver them.



If you don't like Obama, don't support him, but don't bash good people than are supporting a good cause.

Its about time this came out......I live in South Carolina and I do not agree with the entire Obama campaign.



Here is my opinion. I think that we have killed the american way just by labeling people and criticizing people for who they are. It should make no differnce if a person is gay, straight or autistic.



Gay people work just like the "average" person, Gays also pay taxes like the "average" person. If they can not be looked at as a human then they have been ripped their right to be AMERICAN!



I feel that Obama would not turn down the gay votes, however I also think that the gays would not support him. If they did then they have lost their minds.



I feel religon, race, sexuality, or gender should play a role in anything we do. We should be united as one and not segerate or divide. If this is what "Change" represents, then I do not want "Change".



Equality is what the Americans are suppose to honor and be about. What has Obama offered in support of EQUALITY?



Going into the election, if Obama hits the ticket, you can bet my hard earned money, tax paying self WILL NOT vote for him.,
