Ron Paul is by far the best candidate running... he is one of the few providing any real clarity on our foreign policy and domestic issues.. Unlike other candidates whose stances seem to change from week to week, Paul's record is actually consistent. He is a strong advocate of a non-interventionist foreign policy where we trade and negotiate with countries,.. instead of fighting wars under false pretenses where we put our economy in financial risk and the lives of our troops in jeopardy.. To find out more about his positions on other issues, please see the list I posted below. In addition to Paul's strong anti-war/less government stance, he accepts no money from lobbyists, corporations and interest groups.. He is man of integrity.. which is rarity in Washington.. Paul offers real solutions, instead of just typical political rhetoric.. He truly has the best interest at heart for the average American, not just the elite..

A brief overview of his record:

He voted against the Iraq war.

He has never voted to raise taxes.

He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.

He has never voted to raise congressional pay.

He has never taken a government-paid junket.

He is a strong advocate of free trade.

He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.

He opposes invading Iran.

He opposes amnesty for illegals.

He will drastically reduce the debt the United States is in, by reducing government spending.. taking the burden off taxpayers.

He voted NO to the amendment banning gay marriages.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.

He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

America didn't want Ron Paul, because the American Media tried to ignore him and his views for change in America. The media is controlled by our 'government' and anything the government does not want the people to know about, they will not put on the news. I agree one hundred percent on the reforms Ron Paul would have made to the USA. Unfortunately, he will not be considered as a powerful candidate for presidency in the next election in 2012. Fortunately, there is enough time to end all of this nonsense and secret government. I'm not really sure if Obama is part of that type of government..

I like him because he has introduced legislation that would end the Feds from " Borrowing " from social security. Also because he hsa introduced legislation ending the Tax on Social Security benefits. And for The Social Security for Americans Only Act.

To read what the National Review has to say about mrs smiths 1st link check out this link.

Mrs Smith, he is not an Isolationist. He is for trade and diplomacy with all nations, he IS against Policing the world and getting involved in the internal affairs of other nations. Its a Non interventionalist foreign policy and its the policy of our founders.

Mrs Smith your 2nd link does not even make mention of Ron Paul so how is it even relevant?

Mrs Smith your 3rd link is a blog not a news source.

Mrs Smith you are obviously a troll ! Who boasts a legitmate Best answer rate of 44% . Really I would like to know.

I like him because he tries his best to follow the Constitutional guidelines that the founders wrote out so many years ago.

These guidelines clearly explain the rights all Americans enjoy in the Bill of Rights, explain why the colonists wanted independence, and explain how the governments power should be limited.

The Constitution also stipulates that only Gold & Silver shall be used as money, which limits the power of the Treasury department in over issuing paper, unbacked money. This clause would have almost eliminated "Run-Away" inflation if it was still in effect.

Ron Paul, the expert economist, may understand the principles of sound money better than anyone in Washington D.C.

Thanks for the question.

[edit] To Mrs. Smith,

On your first link it is obvious "Propaganda"!

Truman, a Democrat was president during the Korean war. Gen. McArthur suggested using nukes against china, and was relieved of his command, by Truman for suggesting it.

Quote from your propaganda clip:"Eisenhower threatened to use nuclear weapons against China."

Please do some accurate research before you post here, thank you!

75% of Americans oppose illegal immigration

60% want the troops out of Iraq

100% would love not to pay income tax, or at least keep it low

Ron Paul is the only candidate who represents all of these positions. He is against illegal immigration. He wants to pull the troops out of Iraq and stop policing the world and use the saved money to lower taxes. He is most qualified to fix the economy. He is the only candidate who understands the financial disaster we are in created by irresponsible policies of "Federal" Reserve, unfair trade agreements, etc.

I would have to say maybe. He is a Dr, so we know that he has the smarts to do the job, I like some of his common sense answers. I would have to say that he will not be able to gain a large enough chunk of disenchanted Republicans to vault to power. Romney, Rudy, Fred Thompson and other front runners would have to all make major snafu's. I that sense it is a non-starter question. As a final thought, sometimes you need to throw the baby out with the bathwater, sometimes you don't. I fear that there are far too many candidates who wanna promise you the moon. They wanna change everything they wanna fix every system. Some wanna do away with the IRS. I for one dont think that that is feasible.

buttfor2007 - Candidates have no control over who will support them.

Did Bush give back the money the KKK has donated to him? No

Did Clinton give Al Sharpton's group back money? No.

I know you won't respond because that would take more effort than hit and run propaganda

I like his thoughts for domestic policy. Get government out of the way and let people live their lives in freedom. Freedom to choose their own destiny and be held accountable for that chosen destiny.

Not! And I do have legit reasons, although I know the thumbs are against me.

I really wonder why so many people, not just RP...are running for President.

It is disgusting how many people take advantage of the loop-hole in the campaign funding laws that allows candidates to keep the money raised for their personal gain. They may use this for future political campaigns, RETIREMENT, or leave it to their FAMILY! SEE LINK!

He would be fantastic for America. Sadly, the media doesn't give him enough attention, and the country will wind up with someone else as president.

There is a party called the CONSTITUTION party, and that's where he should be. Obviously he isn't going to be as recognized in that party...but why does he have to act like something he's not...a republican. I'm a republican and I'd respect Ron Paul more if he went to where he should be, he's not a true Republican.

Ron Paul is smart, but he is not sensitive or compassionate.

He is for self-reliance , He has no adequate sense of society as a community. He doesn't seem to sense how the affluent should help the underprivileged___ as a family helps it weakest member.

He's against fair taxation. Some wise man once said that

"Taxes are what we pay for civilization"

I have led a privileged life and am happy to pay my taxes___ and so too has Warren Buffet.
2007-11-21 20:21:03 UTC
I like him because all he talks about is the constitution.
2007-11-21 20:28:25 UTC
He would never get elected or Kucinich 0 chances.

nope. look at his policies. isolationism always ends in world wars. we cant bury our head and pretend the world is going to be alright. it will cost millions in American blood.

not to mention his economic policy would destroy our financial markets overnight.

First choice of Stormfront, an ultra-right wing site. As Stormfront says, "White Pride, World Wide."

Ron Paul is their scurvy, running dog.

Idon'tknow: With that endorsement, the burden is on Ron Paul to denounce this group, as the antithesis of freedom. The burden is on you to credential him otherwise if he fails to denounce them.

For example, disprove their support is because he opposes the resistance to Islamic Fascism. These are the goofy friends of the Nazis, sharing their aims, ever since WWII. His opposition to US military defense efforts is to enable the Taliban to take over our nation. They would fulfill the ultimate unstated goals of Stormfront. If internal documents show this strategy, Ron Paul should stand trial for aiding the foreign enemy.
