No. First of all, the editorial was so biased that it is hard to respond to. The case of America reaching out to the Muslim world is simple. Two wars against Muslim states has not made us very popular and there is great reason for Muslims to distrust us. We can can look at their faults but in doing so we need to remind ourselves of our past mistakes which President Obama did. Obama's tour wasn't about shaming America. Obama was trying to explain what real America is. Not a country of militaristic aims and ambitions but country of peace and promise.



Countries such as France and Germany are both two of our most important allies. Anyone who doesn't see that hasn't been living in the modern world. We need Europe and Europe needs us. President Obama did the right thing by explaining this.
