A number of stories are mixed up here.



Fact: Belinda Stronach IS in Canadian politics. However, she is a member of the LIBERAL party, after having flip-flopped out of the Conservative Party. The Conservatives hate her now. (Rumour has it that she has been referred to as a "dog" on the floor of the House.)



Fact: Belinda once ran as a candidate for the leadership of the Conservative party. Had she won, she could have been Prime Minister. However, she lost to Stephan Harper, who is PM now.



Fact: Belinda is famous for her affairs and relationships. At one point, she was dating Peter McKay, who is presently Canada's foreign affairs minister. However, that relationship ended abruptly when she suddenly upped and turned on the Conservatives behind his back. Then, she was embroiled in an affair with hockey player Ty Domi, of the Toronto Maple Leafs, which led to his divorce.



Fact: Belinda IS ambitious. However, she let her ambition for power outweigh her sense of proprietry, and she has fallen out of favour with the Canadian people. She has announced that she is withdrawing from Canadian politics, and will not be running in the next election, as she joins her father in business.



So...is she "out and about" with Clinton? Who knows. It won't win her any love in Canada if she is, that's for sure.



Could she have obtained info from the Prime Minister's office to leak about Obama? Not likely, as the Conservatives don't let Liberals in on their activities very often. It's more likely that an anti-Democrat working for the PM saw an opportunity to strengthen the Republican campaign, which would be in the Conservative's best interest. Belinda would not gain anything from such a leak.

You know NOTHING of Canadian politics. Belinda Stronach turned her back on the Conservative Party of Canada and joined the Liberal party. She is HATED by the Conservative party and was the reason it took them longer to take down the Liberals in power. Her vote kept the Liberals in.
