Question:
Thoughts on Pelosi's comments that Bush is "a total failure"?
I AGREE THAT BUSH IS A FAILURE!

However, Pelosi is just as bad as Bush if not worse! Where does she get the audacity to criticize Bush on his failures when she and her party in Congress and the Senate have been equally as bad...actually worse according to polls. All her promises about impeaching Bush, ending the war in Iraq, lowering gas prices, everything went right out the door. They didn't even try! The only thing in two years they tried to pass besides arguing with Bush was try to renew a health bill for children and to lower the funding for Iraq. They did not try and reach across the aisle, they were just as STUBBORN as Bush.

It is a common ploy of politicians to excuse and/or deflect attention to their incompetence by pointing to anther's incompetence. Good for you for seeing through it.

I am sorry to say, but if this President were a Democrat, and the Congress Republican, Bush and Cheney would have both been impeached and we would be trying them for crimes against humanity in the Hague. My God, Clinton got a blo* Job and he was almost impeached. It seems to me the Republicans are a little tougher when it actually comes down to getting their agenda across. Can you imagine a Dem Congress and Senate with an Obama presidency, they will be sitting on the quad at Berkely holding hands singing give peace a chance.

Fortunately our laws give anyone the right to speak their minds on most any subject, without being punished. This time, she is pushing the envelope even closer to the edge.

I truly dislike Nancy Pelosi and this is not the first hateful thing she has said about Geo. W. It shows just what an arrogant big-mouth she is to speak that way of the man who runs the greatest country in the world. She may not like him, but he still deserves the respect of all American citizens as the leader of our country.

Pelosi's right, and as long as Bush is going to criticize her while blocking or vetoing every attempt she's made to keep her campaign promises, she has every right to do so.

The democrats in congress have a higher rating than the Republicans (35% to 25%) : http://articles.latimes.com/2007/jun/12/nation/na-pelosi12

RE: additional details: No, she promised a new course, and she has passed every bill she said she would when she ran in 2006, they have all either not passed the senate or been vetoed by Bush.

In a poll conducted last week, the overall number was 19%, but when poll participants were asked which party they approved of performance-wise, The results were 25% approve of Republicans, to 35%for Democrats: http://www.pollingreport.com/cong_dem.htm

Just yesterday, the Republicans blocked a Democratic vote to require oil companies to drill in the 30 million acres that they already have access to. They also blocked regulations on speculators, which accounts for almost half the price of a barrel of oil, and Bush refuses to release oil from the Strategic petroleum reserve, which would lower prices immediately. this is why they haven't been able to lower gas prices.

Sometimes the truth really hurts. But I'll repeat it. Bush is a total failure, not only as President, but as a human being.

Pelosi is right on target.

with 202 Republicans and 230 democrats.I would say the 110th congress is the worst ever.Their approval rating are far lower then Bush's ratings.

Pelosi sucks, Bush sucks worse. Ah well.

But, let's get real, they had a one person majority in the Senate, there was no miracle they could perform to get anything passed. In fact, if you look at what has passed, it was legislation brought in by republicans and the democrats worked across the aisle. Anything they got through, they got through by adding it to the war funding bills. Sad, but true.

P.S. 51 Dems to 49 Rep's is NOT a real majority. It takes 60 to even force a vote, much less anything to override a veto. They could not perform miracles. This congress had the most filibusters since the founding of our country, thanks to republicans. The entire congress is to blame, not just democrats.

Here, Here! I second that motion! The Democratic Party has floundered to the point that I have officially renounced any Affiliation with those MORONS!

Pelosi is a LOSER, Harry Reid is a LOSER, the entire Democratic Party is a Farce!

Comrade Pelosi has a 9% approval rating, she has no room to talk, she is a failure as well as congress.

I think Pelosi's speech would have been more appropriate had she delivered it in front of a mirror. Maybe she shouldn't have made unrealistic promises to the American people and thumbed her nose at Bush before taking power.

There is a reason why their approval rating is even lower than Bush's.

She finally told the truth on something! This years election is turning out to be "pick your poison"! There are no good choices for president !

If Pelosi said it i cannot believe it. she's a liar, hypocrite. Remember when the dems won all those seats she stood there saying "Now we can get stuff done" or something to that effect, they did get something done, they acheived the lowest approval rating of all time, great job Nancy, great job.

I think it is kind of funny. Someone belittling another who has a lower approval ranking. Typical leftist. Pelosi and Weed, what a pair!

She's hoping that everyone will look at GWB instead of the utter and complete failure she has been so far.

Also, her comments were completely unprofessional and inappropriate.

it's not Bush that's the problem, it's congress.

he can change congress

and then change his mind about being president.

Interesting how the pot is calling the kettle black... he is unpopular and she is the leader of the most unpopular senate in history... i think perhaps she is also a failure.. time to weed her out.

Understatement of the century. Bush has pursued policy which has driven this great nation to her knees. I cannot believe what he has done.
