Maybe because we don't all have the same perspectives and opinions that you do. Those are YOUR opinions, right? Not necessarily mine?
Rev. Wright is fairly old and came through the civil rights movement in the 60s, a very turbulent time. I did, too. If you had had rabid dogs and fire hoses turned on you just because you wanted to be able to vote, perhaps you wouldn't have a great opinion of some of the things that have gone on in America, either.
Fortunately, every generation gets less and less racist, it seems. So many young people coming along today don't even understand what the fuss is about. Maybe if you had time, you could read on the internet about some of the things that happened when Rev. Wright was young, and it would help you understand better what he might be thinking and feeling (even if you still wouldn't agree with him).
It's wrong for you to attempt to judge another person's feelings and beliefs (whether Michelle Obama or Rev. Wright) when you have never experienced the things they have and have never walked in their shoes.
Most of the people who are going so crazy about the pastor weren't going to vote for Obama anyway; they are just using this, at the behest of Hannity mainly, to attempt to destroy him.
I would like us to get back to being a country where Americans can respect each other and have different viewpoints without the politics of personal destruction. What do you think? Wouldn't that make our America a better country?
