Obama cuts spending on high tech weapons, including the f-22 which will cause 90,000 jobs alone.

Should Obama be cutting these important jobs during a recession?

The 90,000 can churn out F-16s, F-35s, C-130s and modernized C-5s for Lockheed, not to mention the prospect that industry rivals Boeing and Northrop might lure Lockheed workers for their own active production lines for the F-15, F/A-18 and others.”

Weapons development should never be used as a federal jobs program, actually nothing the government does should be used to provide make work jobs.

It's a valid consideration, the US already has a huge air force, there is no country in the foreseeable future that could challenge us for the skies.

We are facing a new kind of war and we need warriors and equipment to fight those wars (actually we need to do a better job of avoiding wars in the first place)

The enemy isn't Russia or China, both of whom seem to be discovering the market economies we seem so intent on forgetting.

Warlords, pirates, gangsters, mafias, tribes, and plain old criminals are the future security threats.

But he's increased the orders for the F-35. So its a wash. In any case, what about the millions who are out of work because Bush supported deregulation of the financial system while fighting two wars on two tax cuts and two tax rebates?

Conservatives are interesting. They demand less spending and scream at the tops of thier voices that government spending does not create jobs - but when you try to cut a military program that Republican Defense Secretary Gates says we do not need - suddenly jobs are on the line and the half a trillion dollars MUST be spent.

Yes, this was expected by Conservatives, and Military. We know when a "leader" is dangerous to the safety, and values of America. That's why we didn't vote for him.

Obama is going to cut defense by records, and make us weak to protect ourselves. The "Libs" live in a fairy-tale of love, and "peace". There is no such thing as peace and until the evil dies, there never will be. Stop smoking the kool-aid "Libs", or you and the rest of America will cease to exist.

The price we will pay for ignorance, and Obama's massive spending with Commie China's money and what our citizens have left, is not worth the resurrection we may hope to have. Obama needs to come out of the office he was illegally elected to now.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates a Republican and Bush hold over has recommended to the President a shift in military priorities in spending to more effectively fight a faceless enemy. Colin Powell (R) recommended the same approach when he was Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff. Hate will not prove your point or make any clearer you are right and the majority of the country, like 66% of the popular vote is delusional. You might want to go get that checked out, and reduce consumption of Hatorade; try water before you open mouth.

No,

You are wrong. Your FOX NEWS Sources state:

"Gates Calls for Cuts to High-Tech Weapons Programs"

It is Gates, a Republican, wants this.

Why do you lie?

Absolutely! As you should know, the f22 is a 140 billion dollar plane. It is incredibly wasteful, given that it can't even be used in the mountians of Afghanistan. This is one tiny fraction of the manufacturing department of Lockheed Martin, and they have already stated that there are many other jobs and many other planes--that we can use in Afghanistan--that these people can work on.
