Question:
What do you think about the timing of the release of the Wright/Obama story?

I think this is more evidence of the media's bias towards Obama. They knew this story would come out sooner or later. They just decided to release it when there wasn't much voting going on. Isn't this kind of interesting? Here we have more proof of the media's Obama lovefest. Isn't it kind of sick? I wish the media would be neutral.

That is patently obvious for anyone who was paying attention.

At the same time he came clean with the Wright issue (it was late on a Friday afternoon if I recall – a time deliberately chosen so many people would miss it) he also came clean with an admission that he had been "mistaken" (lied) about his relationship with Rezko and the amount of $$ Rezko had contributed to his campaign.

So there were two stories. We know which one the media ran with.

The other story (Rezko) was far more damaging to Obama but it was effectively blacked out as the media sensationalized the Wright story.

The media choose to boost its profits by starting a race war, and simultaneously protect their beloved candidate.

To understand why the media has "chosen" Obama, a person must know that Obama has been "pre-approved' by the Council on Foreign Relations". McCain has also been pre-approved. It isn't clear which candidate CFR will pull for starting September so stay tuned. If McCain fits their agenda, we will see the rest of the Rezko story reported. If the CFR wants Obama, the media will continue to hide the Rezko story as much as possible and down play it when it does surface.

and by the way, did I mention that CFR stands for MORE FREE TRADE, not less free trade. CFR is also a driving force behind the North American Union agenda. No CFR-installed president can stop that. a President Obama would be a CFR installed president. The only candidate that is not sanctioned by CFR is Ron Paul.

The media is just as hynotized by Barack Obama as his followers are. He regularly receives a pass and a smile from the media no matter what he does or says. A conservative media source released this story and it was a story that couldn't be legimately ignored once attention was brought to it. If it had no merit, if it was a "big deal who cares" story it would have died weeks ago. That's not the case, and it isn't going away. There are many reasons it shouldn't and many reasons that millions are very disturbed by it. Some things should come to light about Presidential candidates and this certainly deserved the light of day to be examined and explained. A lot of us are still waiting for an explanation of the most pertinent questions surrounding this debacle, but Obama continues to evade those questions as he blats out another inspiring line or two about race relations in this country and his hopes and dreams.

He has given no explanation for the things that really bother people about this. Why in 20 years didn't he have the moral fortitude to stand up, object and remove himself from that church? Why did he instead give thousands to this "preacher," make this man his mentor and spiritual advisor, of all things? Why on earth would he ever take his two small daughters to that church not knowing whether they would hear a sermon about the word of God, or a rabid race baiting anti-American rant thinly disguised as a sermon?

The media has busied itself for some time now burning Hillary at the stake while giving Obama a pass on some of the lies he has told, and questionable connections to questionable people (Rezko and Ayers). I guess by breaking this - and you are right about the timing - they thought it would melt away before the next big primaries. Once again they are wrong. This story will not die.

It would not have come out at all if one of the talk radio hosts had not brought it up. Once the cat was out of the bag, something so serious could no longer just be ignored. It is an example of a sector of the press that is free being a catalyst at making needed information available. It is not exactly how the free press is supposed to work but is affective none the less.

They couldn't have known that "the story would come out sooner or later." Because there was no story. It's about the *pastor* of Obama's *church* making a few extreme statements in a long and otherwise exemplary career. This was not Obama's foreign policy advisor. He's not gonna be on the cabinet. Who could predict that a handful of fear mongers would whup it up into a major smear campaign?

It was definetly about the best time possible. He had plenty of time to overcome it before PA, and it will be played out by the general election.

I do not know if it's because the media like him or just luck, but I'm an Obama supporter so I'm happy about it.

People were talking about Obama's membership in that Church ever since he entered the race. I agree with you that it appears some effort was made by the media to disclose it during a lull in the primaries.

They aren't criticizing McCain's background at all. They've dragged Obama and Hillary through the mud many times.

He must feel pretty good.

I try to not give such people as the bad rev, any thoughts at all .

I think it's a non-story. And I think the morons in American "media" who decided to re-run the stories they got from Limbaugh and Hannity ought to consider different careers.
