my daughter was beat up at school for being white?

She is in the fifth-grade. Earlier she came home from school with a brused face because a group of african american girls beat her up on the playground. It's an all girls school, and they were having a classroom discussion about the election before it happened.

what should i do? i tried to contact the school, but they told me that they could do nothing but give the girls a warning.

Obviously you are dealing with a school that doesn't want to be in the fore front of a possible case in court. random question...why is this question posted under elections? is it because it happened after the elections? do you really think its because of being white? check the nationality in school, and if whites are minorities, its understanding, if the school says they cant do anything, try calling your local police station, sometimes they have counselors who help you out which then they speak to the cops and they go and get to the bottom of it. if it was on-campus, the girls should get more than just a warning, but if it was off-campus, it will depend if the school takes responsibility for the kids until they get home. im sorry about what happened to her and i hope she feels better but the best bet is to write down every description of the incident and contact the school and advised them if they wont do nothing except a verbal warning, you will call the cops and have them handle it.

Violence in school should not be tolerated, regardless of whether it was racially motivated or otherwise.. When I was a kid, I went to a school that was lax with bullies. I came home with bruises and the nasty boys twice my size got warned that it's not nice to kick people. Did you talk to the principal? I would go in and talk to him or her face to face. They have to inform the parents of those children and the school should punish those girls. If the school continues to run around the bush with you, I would talk to the police about it and see if there is anyway that they can get involved. There is no need for violence in our schools.
