Question:
Why have Republicans said the stimulus is a bad thing for America but in private letters are asking for them?

It was reported today that prominent Republicans and others that voted against the sitmulus package have "reached out their hands behind the scenes to seek stimulus money after the camera lights went dark and the GOP campaign against the 2009 stimulus law quieted down."

Spoecifically named were Pete Sessions, John McCain, Ron Paul, Scott Brown, Michele Bachmann, Anh “Joseph” Cao, Lamar Alexander, Mike Pence and even Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

If it is such a bad thing then why are they trying to use it?

For the supporters of these candidates: why do you still support people who have so obviously lied and continue to lie to you?

None of those each and every physique is in my district. The stimulus placed all politicians in a perplexing place. regrettably, a lot of people vote for people in nationwide workplace based on the favors they get for their interior reach district. I sent a letter to my Congressperson (a Democrat) telling them to no longer vote for the wellbeing care invoice and why. They sent back a three-website variety letter of each and every of the money they have been given for interior reach initiatives by earmarks and the stimulus. So, a flesh presser that receives no longer something from earmarks is at a downside at election season. i do no longer anticipate my representatives to be proper, yet I %. from the recommendations i'm given. maximum of those alternatives suck through fact few non-corrupt people can survive in Washington.

The most outstanding characteristic of the stimulus package is its purpose and its result. The purpose was to stimulate the economy and to keep unemployment from going above 8%. The result is more debt and unemployment almost 10% with a good possibility of it going higher. I wonder if you think these individuals should allow all of the federal spending to go to Democratic precincts as was intended.

I read your link in detail.

Please, surely you don't think he wrote all that without a hook and a literary slant, ( Im being kind, I hope he wasn't an Obamaite looking to distort the real issue)

Each person you noted voted completely against the so called stimulus. They knew the outcome of bribing to gain approval for soon to come absurdities.

Once its forced on us, it was each persons obligation to get the fund where its needed.

The thinking goes like this:

This is a stupid idea but I want my share. Why? Because I'm a taxpayer, I'm paying for this and I'm going to try to recoup what little I can.

Assuming what you say is true, I would not support them or any candidate that voted for or uses stimulus money and that includes the liar in the White House.

Cons are wedge issue voters and don't really care about those things. As long as their candidates are white xtians that are against gay marriage, they could be mass murderers and it wouldn't matter.

After all.....gawd has forgiven them.
