Democrats, aren't you tired of people who can't be at peace with the outcome of the election?

it's really annoying, why can't the republicans just get over it?

It is pretty annoying. Not all republicans are annoying, but those who can't get over the outcome of the election need to quit whining and move on. And some of the democrats who rub it in their faces are annoying also. I'm sick and tired of people saying "omg it's the end of the world! Obama won! watch as this country spirals into chaos!" It is most deffinately not the end of the world. This election was never about the issues, it was about the method of taking care of the issues. What is important now is working together to help Obama make this country's economy better whether we like him or not.

You're right, it's very annoying to see the hostility. You would think that these individuals would just accept the outcome and move on...after all, the Democrats have had to accept Republican wins a whole heck of a lot more times. But the anger and hostility runs deeper than that, and I blame McCain and Palin for this situation. In their efforts to knock the wind out of Obama's sails, they mixed lies and half truths with the fear and insecurity that was already brewing in this "melting pot." They ushered civility out of the door and welcomed inuendo, assuming that most people wouldn't take the time to check the facts before making a decision. It was much easier to take the attitude of "If we repeat it enough times, it will become true." Fortunately, the majority of the nation didn't fall for it.

So then why dont you democraps quit posting BS questions? Seems to me when questions like this are asked you are feeling some sort of jealousy *L*.. I may not like having obama as a president but I am certianly not going to lose any sleep over it either... and by the way a dem may not have been in office for 8 yrs but they ruled just about everything else so dont blame us for this F-ed up economy, blame people like peloski etc.... Shes at it again and she will be one of many to f**k up this country!!!

When have the Democrats ever gotten over an election when the Republican has won? All I've heard for the last 8 years is how terrible Bush is. Yes, he made a lot of bad decisions, but if you guys could whine and complain for the last 8, we have the option to do so for the next 4. Maybe you need to get over it.
2008-11-06 16:44:49 UTC
COuld you not turn it around and say the exact same thing about the democrats during the last two presidential elections? I am sure you can.
Please note, I am British but I am also an educated Brit and I am merely making an observation that is in all fairness very accurate.
I applaud your election this time around and I wish the best for America and for Mr Obama.

It is hard to put it behind you so soon. I never got over Bush being elected and I would be very upset if McCain had won because I believe McCain would have continued the same policies that resulted in our present problems.
So while I disagree with their politics I know how it feels to lose when you believe so strongly in your candidate.

I know many of my conservative friends have accepted Obama as their president because they know how democracy works.
The people who can't be at peace are either still disappointed with the results or absolute hypocrites. They probably want democracy spread all over the world. However, when it comes to elections, if it doesn't work out their way, then they whine about.
This is how democracy works. Majority wins. Obama won the majority of the popular vote and the majority of the electoral vote.

Its just the extreme wing sounding off......moderate Republicans who really care about the integrity of the Constitution are in some ways delighted .

How hypocritical, if I recall, all you heard the liberals do for the past 8 years is ***** about Bush. I believe the phrase "stolen election" was uttered quite often over the past 8 years.

I'm a staunch conservative, but Obama will be my president. I railed against his leftist views, but I am proud to be an American. I will help get real conservatives elected to any office they are running for, but I will support the next President of the United States of America.
I will learn from the mistakes of the last eight years, and I will not demonize the opposition to the detriment of the country.
Barrack Obama, like it or not, is my president.

It's democrats too. Everyone is just enjoying being ridiculous at each other.
I understand not "getting over it". I never got over being upset that Bush got elected. Twice.

ohhh my goodness!!!! this boy in 1 of my classes talks ALL THE TIME, about the most off topic/stupid things. 1 day we were talking about politics and he said he was a McCain voter, in a class of all Obama lovers. HAHA
Today was our 1st class after the election, and he had his headphones on before class (never does) and when the teacher asked him how he was doing he got very irritated and said "If this is about politics.... I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!"
he was pissy the whole class
your right, get over it!!!!!
2008-11-06 16:39:31 UTC
If it was the other way around where McCain won
The Democrats would be protesting a recount or saying it was rigged
That is what is really annoying

Yes. Very.
If McCain had been elected, I would NEVER say he was not my President or disrespect him in any way. Same with Bush now. Not once did I or would I ever say he is not my President. I may not like how he did things, but I respect him.
It's awful what some of these people are doing and saying.

They're just bitter RACIST ignorant jerks.
I hate McCain, thank God he didn't win BUT, I respect the man for his speech. He conceded very graciously UNLIKE HIS SUPPORTERS. Didn't you notice in his speech when he mentioned Obama's name, all the rednecks just kept booing? Yet in Obama's acceptance speech when he mentioned McCain, there weren't any boos. That speaks volumes of how much class us Dems have over Republicans.
Bottom line, the Reps can't stand that a black man was voted as president BY THE EDUCATED MAJORITY, PERIOD. Now their pretty white world is crumbling down around them and all they can do is cry about it. All that nonsense about him having terrorist ties, and being muslim and not being a US citizen is all nothing but trash talking. And we all saw how well that worked for McCain.
They just need to grow up, be civilized adults about it and unite with Dems for the sake of the country. END OF STORY.

Oh don't let them get to you. It's just how people are, it's our nature to be "unsatisfied." Let them whine and b*tch about it, it's not going to change anything. I'm happy of the inevitable-outcome.

yeah it gets annoying
and then everyone of those pathetic idiot are like
omg just wait until he messes up!!
he will become a dictator!!
you're going to regret this
its like shut the **** up
its not like you can do anything about it because
if you kill obama, there's biden, and then if you kill biden, there's nancy

Just like the people that are protesting over Prop 8 in California? Those people right? By the way, they are Democrats. You don't see Republicans protesting anything.

I remember all you Gore supporters allowing peace when GWB won.
There won't be peace with BHO as President. And it won't be the fault of the Republicans.
Hang on - this is going to be a bumpy ride!

Well let them ***** and moan all they want. We did so the last 8 years with Bush, so let them whine if they want. At least we elected a bright intelligent leader, and they elected a handicapped chimp.

Yes. I am equally tired of Democrats (SOME) who continually egg it on and push buttons on purpose. BOTH sides are not listening to our President-elect....who has repeatedly called for unity and a new system that allows for true bi-partisanship and a Presidency for ALL Americans, not just those who voted for him. I simply think we should ALL give him a chance before attacking him falsely.....and that we should ALL practice humility and understanding.

I saw this woman yesterday post this below...and I am copying it because I AGREE with her!!!!! I will also lay off all Obama supporters!!!!!
Payback is hell!!!!!
"I now officially hate all people who have voted for Obama. This country will never be the same. I am so angry and I will definitely be doing my best over the next four years to make sure that if they pay for doing this to our once wonderful country. I cannot believe they would vote for such a man. This just shows that the liberal media has now accomplished what they wanted....the absolute dumbing down of America. I will seek my revenge...will you join me fellow republicans? I own a small business and will be laying off ALL Obama supporters immediately...they are all under performers anyway. I AM MAD AS HELL.......HE WILL NEVER BE MY PRESIDENT!!!!!!
P.S. and before you tell me " you will get sued"...I have already thought about this. Do you think I will be TELLING them this is why they are getting fired. I am not dumb. "
