First you must register. Usually at least 30 days before the election. The board of elections will sent you a card telling you where to vote. Many states now require some form of ID. Acceptable ID varies by state. A government issued photo ID showing your current address (ie Drivers License) should qualify. In Ohio acceptable ID includes: a current and valid photo identification OR a military identification, a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or government-issued document that shows the voter's name and current address.

A good question. First of all you need to be motivation, inspired even. Do any of the current parties invoke inspiration or hope? Not as far as I can see. What we need before we can vote first of all is a a politican who is worthy of our vote. You'd have to search far and wide to find one who is these days.
