These are a few reasons why you might want to attend
It is well know that the percentage of people who smoke in is higher among the poor . The increase in the tax was a sneaky way for Congress to tax the poor .
You believe in small government and do not want them to control your every move
You would rather see no abortions but would not want the government involved in early abortion decisions.
You are against partial birth abortions. .
If you are a a Christian. You will not push your beliefs on anyone , but may pray for them .
You believe welfare to help someone get back on their feet is ok . It is the years of abuse that you are against.
If you think this stimulus package is wrong and not helping the poor or middle class.
If you are a Born again American
Here are links to find a tea party near you.

This is a must to get you in the mood . A nonpartisan was behind the making of this but Republicans , Democrats and others love it. It is a good example of what kind of people a tea party will bring together . If you aren't Christian you may not like the following and choose to skip it.

How about the 2010 budget that will add 10+ Trillion to our national debt and 1 trillion to our deficit each year for the next 10 years?

Leveraging us for programs that benefit us should be reasonable. Leveraging 3 generations deep for programs for us is irresponsible.

Anyone against the tea parties and the idea of the government spending less of OUR money should be fitted for a crash helmet. It's clear they're clinging to their party loyalties and are incapable of thinking for themselves. "WHAT DO WE WANT? TAXES!!! WHEN DO WE WANT THEM? NOW!!!"

The more one considers the matter, the clearer it becomes that redistribution is in effect far less a redistribution of free income from the richer to the poorer, as we imagined, than a redistribution of power from the individual to the State.

Bertrand de Jouvenel

The poster above says they'll be armed w/ their cameras -- I'd bet my life savings the anti-protesting protesters will be the one instigating the problems...and once again, the emotional batch we call libs will be defined again.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot help small men by tearing down big men. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot lift the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer. You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot establish security on borrowed money. You cannot build character and courage by taking away men's initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

What really saddens me is to see a bunch of liberal bullies here strutting their stuff. It's easy to be a bully when you are the anonymity of the internet, isn't it?

Well, we have a right to assembly.

We have a right to freedom of speech, at least last time I checked.

I'm not a religious fanatic, I don't own a gun and I am not rich, yet I believe that people need to support themselves and not expect the government to do so.

I would fully expect help during a hard time, but not a lifetime of support while I sat on my ever-widening fat butt while others work hard to support me. Those who work hard deserve to keep what they have earned.

As for the KKK references, I do not expect anything racial at all at the tea party I am going to. My dislike for Obama has nothing to do with race, just what he is trying to do to destroy my country. I stand up for America!

To make funny videos of you guys talking about your wingnut causes, getting you to agree on camera that you'd rather not pay more taxes so that rich people can pay a lot less.

Without the wingnut causes you are listing, you would get no more attendees than the last round of parties, which nationwide drew lots fewer than a single Obama rally.

The "nonpartisan" group that set this up is a well-funded group of right wing businessmen who will make a ton of money if their taxes are lowered. Don't forget, Rick Santelli said you were a loser who deserved to lose your house because you're not a derivatives trader.

I have not heard of KKK attending, but I have specific information about other white supremacist groups which will be. ∠°)

aren't the responses quite typical of the left, they just don't get it do they...anyway, my one thought is...it's a chance to press flesh and have intelligent dialog with all ideologies that will will be attending. that's one of the first things i noticed at the one we had in orlando on the 21st of last month, we were running 50/50 dem and repub which just goes to show that all people are getting fed up with obama, his admin and everything for the last 8 to 10 years. i met some great people, had very good conversation, all topics of discussion were talked about, ideas exchanged back and forth, some minds won over, but most important, it was all a learning experience that was not only fun, but very educational...i'm glad i had the opportunity to go and hope my vaca day the 15th doesn't get ruined so i can attend it.

Oh since when do Republicans care about the taxation on the middle and lower class? Oh that is right they don't!

Because when the government gives Rich tax breaks and tax credit they lose money! And they make up for that with.... INCREASED taxes on the worker class! Oh! Gee-Golly!

Thanks for your concern! But these Tea Parties are nothing but Republicans coming together looking after their own greedy asses and their tax increase.

See the right is trying to brainwash people into joining them with the "Tea Parties". It has NOTHING to do with the worker class just rich people.

Go fail somewhere else.

I'm not interested in tax revolt. I'm only interested in tax reform, and our new government is doing their best to come up with something that is fair, despite all the flak-talk from the Republicans.

I consider myself to be a patriotic American, and by that I mean that I believe in paying my taxes to help finance things which benefit our people as a whole - not just my own special interests.

The no.1 reason would be taxation without representation. The people are not being represented.
