I want to find an internet sources where I can start to research the issues and candidates' of my area (Columbus) for the 2006 elections. Obviously, I'd like sources that are non-partisan and bias free. T

I also advise checking out the League of Women Voters. Use the link in my sources section to find a local chapter. (At the top of their page) A short time before the election, a balanced group of volunteers will have examined the candidates and ballot issues and present information about them. I believe they ask the candidates for a position on a particular topic as well.
The second link is to the location where the Columbus-specific information will be posted, and the newspaper that publishes it.
Here in Dayton, a few days before the election, their ballot information is in the Dayton Daily news, as well.
They have a long history of being non-partisan.

Check the local League of Women Voters. They are unbiased.
