A republican running for the state legislature in Virginia is openly calling for President Obama to be murdered. She says that republicans' disagreements with him should be "settled by the bullet box". Especially in a time of war, it is treason to encourage armed insurrection against the president. This loon should be in Guantanamo right now. Instead, the mainstream right-wing media is mostly silent about this treason.

Her comment was a very slick, indirect way of inciting violence against a sitting President. As far as I am concerned, it is treason. As far a legally, I doubt it. You can be sure the Justice Department is keeping it's eye on her.

1) It is not treason to defend yourself against an unjust government. That is one of our founding principles.

2) No one threatened to have President Obama murdered. Your exaggeration of this statement is nothing less than silly and coercive, an attempt to silence and make helpless others against anything that our government does. It is wrong.

3) You would silence her with imprisonment. Is this the democrat party of your parents, kids? It isn't mine. My parents didn't fight to have Americans thrown into prison because they say the wrong thing, something that the government disagrees with, but that is what you are being taught, what you have bought into. Not me. I'm an old-style democrat.

4) This question is a case of political bigotry. It brings nothing but contempt to my heart, any more than the same thing when aimed at President Bush did. It was just as contemptible when done then.

We didn't make a movie about an Obama assassination. Crazy heartless liberals made a movie on an assassination of Bush. It seems like you get away with treason more. Even Hillary Clinton said, that the movie on the assassination of Bush was an unnecessary movie to make.

You have intentionally taken the remarks out of context to make an attempt to curb peoples 1st amendment rights. There is NO treasonous act here. I'd suggest you look that word up.

The oath they take is to the constitution, not the president.
