isn't it amusing to hear Obama talk about compromise - he say it's YOU who have to compromise, NOT ME?

Remember when he said "The Republicans are welcome to come along for the ride, but they have to sit in the back of the bus." Yet he still managed to convince half of the American public that it was the Republicans who refused to compromise!!!!

The Republicans have been filibustering for the last 4 years ... President Obama is right ... it's time they got their act together and stop being oppositional just for the sake of it ... it's time we ALL worked for Team America ... !

The old Republican version of America is almost a thing of the past. That vision of the guy with the musket in the American Revolution is part of our history. We fought hard for independence. But it was a different time. There was a lot more land. People did not have a large central government.

Times have changed. Needs have changed. The whole world has changed. And America, for better or worse, is now owned by banks, corporations, wall street, etc. Technology has totally changed everything.

The days of the land barons are over. There is no more Old South "gentility" and slavery. With fat cat politicians running towns and keeping everyone under their thumb. Bohner reminds me of that ilk. All of them do. They can't make demands anymore. They have to come to the crowd. The crowd does not have to go to them.

We have people from the south coming into the country. There is no way to stop it. That is a human migration that must be taken into account. America is not what it used to be and nobody can turn back the hands on the clock.

We have become a new group. So, to fight for these old ideas is nearly fruitless. I don't know what is going to happen. I just know that change is inevitable.

Isn't it amusing to hear Boehner talk about not giving a single inch on raising taxes or cooperating at all with the administration?

Funny that you should ask this question on the same day that Boehner came out and said that Republicans will not budge when dealing with Obama. There goes that darn reality getting in the way of a good Fox "News" talking point again.

I also remember connies signing the "Norquist pledge" and saying "no compromise" It does seem strange that House Republicans, who combined received fewer votes than Barry, think he should come to them. The fact the America re-elected the "socialist", should tell the GOP, something.

The sharper GOP politicians are taking this election as a wake-up call. The duller ones just figure that the 61 million Americans who voted for Obama are just plain stupid - STUPID ENOUGH TO BEAT THEIR SORRY ***ES AT TH E POLLS.
