Is there any reason not to want transparency in future administrations?

One of the things I really support with McCain/Palin is the transparency they will enact inside the beltway. I think this one thing would provide the most change across the board for future politics.

It is our tax money, and we have the right to know where it is going.
I agree with transparency and I feel that McCain would make sure that it happens.
With this bailout, did you know that millions went to Puerto Rico's rum distillers, millions went to America Somoa, millions went to Hollywood producers, to name a few. The dems tried to put in millions to ACORN, a supposidly UNPARTISAN group that is fraudulently registering people across the country and supports Obama. Some one on the Hill put a stop to that. The Dems did all of this

I like the ideal of that, too. But I really cannot see any reason to think McCain scores ahead of Obama on that. It is true that he has extensive lobbyist leadership in his campaign. It is true that his campaign ads have been increasingly disingenuous.
One may think that Obama does the same, but that's my point: Is there any reason to think that McCain is any more pro-transparency than Obama?

transparency is a new term much over used in this way. However transparency is greatly needed in the legislative process. Not however in the intelligence community.

Yeah, that's awesome. I think their entire "transparency" plan was to have the federal budget online, which it has been for a couple of years now actually. Haven't heard too much about that plan recently. Weird.

Tranparency is a lofty goal, but we probably won't "see" much of it unless they can explain the reasons for the decisions they make. (Can you just imagine how little we really know about what really goes on and the real reasons why?)

I dunno, not sure if I want to know how much of my tax dollars is putting Sarah Palin's kids in suites on Central Park.
