Her stupidity is usually the main topic of talk radio from both sides. Even the Dems know she was a huge mistake.

From what I understand, he has yet to take any firm stand on that. He also knows it is a threat to most in the business. What people fail to understand is it may affect talk radio, but would not affect a cable channel. For this reason, he may go after it through additional regulations, fees and fines designed to make it very difficult for those in that arena. He doesn't want to give anyone the appearance he is going to take away their freedom, so I don't think he will allow the Fairness Doctrine to be reinstated.

He never said that he wants to ban talk radio. He wants to fill it full of liberal tree hugging gibberish. If he can't push through the fairness doctrine he will call it local programming. It's nothing short of censorship and it's a complete disgrace.

Pelosi would ban it because she is completely insane.

He has been pretty quite about the Fairness Doctrine, yet Pelosi said she is ready to go with a bill to put the Fairness Doctrine back in place. With that in place they can basically put too many obstacles in place for the conservatives to meet expectations and thus shut them down. Obviously, it goes against the first amendment and it hopefully will be challenged and not be passed but who knows with an all liberal House and Senate!

Pelosi and Reid are the Dems who support the Fairness Doctrine. Obama has said that he doesn't support it but I can't imagine him vetoing it if it makes it to his desk. I think that Obama is more likely to accomplish the same results with "localism".

I don't know if he agreed or not, but Nancy Pelosi scares the bejeezus outta me. I really hope Obama does a good job of keeping her under control. And, she probably wanted to ban it because she finds it necessary to ban anything that discredits her and makes her look bad...which is pretty much everything...

I don't know if Obama agrees with Nancy or not but...

I think Nancy wants to shut up Rush Limbaugh. She can't stand him because he tells it like it is. Personally I think we ought to keep her from speaking publicly. Her IQ shows when she opens her mouth.

Besides isn't this Amercia where we have freedom of speech?

Are they wanting to take that away from us too?

Seriously..they will have a hard time shutting me up ! :}

its ironic that when libs talk about working together, it actually means,you agree with us or we will not allow you to disagree. pelosi is very dangerous, shes a control freak. and for mediawho thinks this is bs, look up the fairness doctrine---------its in black and white.-oh btw, harry reid also wants this law or ban

The media is very much in favor of Democrats, according to Republicans, so I can't imagine why she would be afraid of it.
