Now with the media keeping it hush hush(which is a sign of a truly corrupt government) little is known about it. However it was recently signed up for ireland in tokyo yesterday. Will the bill need to go through democracy or is it the beginning of internet communism...

Let me remind you of what happened with the Lisbon Treaty. Ireland voted no, so they just made us vote again, and would've continued to do so until we said yes (which the Irish people stupidly did second time round). So, in this country, at face value, it's a democracy but really it's more like an underhand dictatorship (i.e. We can vote, but only what they want us to vote for). I don't think there's going to be formal nationwide vote about it, but even if there was, we could say no but we'd keep having to vote until we say yes.



I do know that some people are contacting their MEPs, as it has yet to be voted for in the European Parliament. If they vote yes, ACTA is implemented, and if the majority votes no, ACTA will just fall through (at least for now). So you can try to influence the decision of the MEPs but I honestly can't see that making too much difference.
