I mean HOW???

Who, for example, would be MORE American than Barack?

He's like Jack Armstrong, All-American Boy (a '50s thing; we wouldn't understand).

But some people come close--

Sylvester Stallone

Issur Danielovitch (Demsky (we know him as Kirk Douglas)

Martha Kostyra (we know her as Martha Stewart)

Mladen Sekulovic (Karl Malden)

Lawrence Tureaud (Mr. T.)

Demetria Guynes (Demi Moore)

Dino Crocetti (Dean Martin)

Doris Von Kappellof (Doris Day)

Roy Scherer (Rock Hudson)

Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. (Muhammad Ali)

Jennifer Anastassakis (Jennifer Anniston)

Alphonse d'Abruzzo (Alan Alda)

Patricia Andrzejewski (Pat Benatar)

Eric Weiss (Harry Houdini)

Christina Ciminella (Wynona Judd)

Tadeus Wladyslaw Konopka (Ted Knight)

Walter Matuschanskayasky (Walter Matthau)

Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou (George Michael--Not EVEN American-he's British!-but with a name like that he would make a good American!)

James Osterberg (Iggy Pop!!!)

What actually defines an American name? His name as as American as anyone one person on this board. It is quite boring to see how such complete ignorance and low self-worth is reflected in people that share a common need to judge a person because of their religion.

Any person judging a person by their religion are no better than religious extremist that they complain so much about. Not all Muslims are extremist and not all ignorant people have to stay that way.

Senator Obama is not a Muslim nor was he raised a Muslim. His father was born to parents that practiced the Muslim religion, but his father did not. His father also did not raise him. He was greatly influenced by his Mother and his Irish-American grandparents.

Senator Obama is running for President of the United States. He is not running for Pope (O that's right, that's evil too because its Catholic- These lame attacks were identical to that JFKennedy faced), Archbishop of Canterbury, or the head of the (Im)Moral Majority or some other religious group.

Perhaps it might be best to limit such ignorance first by educating oneself with the American Revolution. It would actually be wise to do before EVER judging a person because of ANY religious background practiced by them or their ancestors.

Millions and millions of people have been coming to this country to be free of religious persecution, but apparently it is alive and well and living on the internet after reading some of these posts.

This is not the 19th Century, nor is it "The Gangs Of New York", and not one of you are "Bill the Butcher".

Senator Obama is exactly what this country needs, and it has never been more obvious than it is right now.

No president can stop the wheels of destruction from turning in America. We are on a collision course and nobody can stop us from being merged into the New World Order. This is what the Clinton-Bush dynasty represents. They've had 20 years of control in government and things are getting progressively worse for americans. Only a fool would vote these people back in office. Has nothing to do with color; and until Whites and Blacks learn to stand together, we will continue to fall--together!

Is your question an attempt at dry humor???? Barack Hussein Obama,Jr., is a fraud, a con artist, a closet Muslim and apostate or murtaad. If you don't understand those terms, read Sharia ( Muslim religious law) and try to become informed. Hussein Obama has refused to honor our American flag on two public occasions. Source: Time, October 1,2007 edition. Real Americans honor our flag and country. The position of president is the ultimate role model for the nation, and drug addicts, users, dealers, and closet Muslims do not qualify for that title. Obama's loyalty is highly questionable, and his dark past has been protected very well by a highly biased mainstream media, which purveys Obama as their candidate, 24 hours a day. For more facts, go to; http://barackobamacandidate.org/ and become informed why Obama is unfit to occupy the oval office.

Not unless you are born here.

Or if you come here from somewhere else and then pass the test.

Or if you are born in Mexico (George Romney, Governor of Michigan (1963-1969); Pres. of American Motors Corp., candidate for Republican nominee for U.S. President 1968, member of LDS [Mormons], father of Mitt Romney).

Or born in Panama Canal Zone (John McCain).

Or born somewhere that later became part of the United States (Barry Goldwater, Republican nominee and candidate for U.S. president, 1964 [born in territory that later became Arizona]).

Or if you throw your Olympic Gold Medal in the river and go to prison for refusing to fight illegal war and say, "No Vietnamese ever called me N---er." (Muhammed Ali).

I agree with Robert S. Last I heard (though this may have changed), he did not say the Pledge of Allegiance nor did he wear an American flag pin on his suit. If you don't want to respect our flag, I suppose that's OK for a normal citizen, but for a presidential candidate... I don't know.

How about McCain: war hero who put his life on the line for his country in a North Vietnamese POW camp.

Good point about all the other people who have funny names too. If someone is a United States citizen, I can't see them as being "more American" or "less American" than anyone else.

Not really, he is all American, I know I'll be voting for him.

He is not a Muslim, his family roots are in Kenya, and they are a mix of religions.
