Face it !! No Republican will endorse ANY health care proposal !! ITs a social program !! Republicans hate social programs and have never seen one they like ! Isn't seventeen years of reform trying enough time that the Republicans COULD have done it IF they really wanted to?? Why has the Health Care Ins companies spent 542 million dollars to defeat health care reform ?? And why hasn't the Republicans offered ANYTHING beside Heath Care Savings Accts..as a Reform..Is it MAYBE the LIE is that REFORM might be SOMETHING GOOD for the average working person ??

Yes, long over due.

Republicans will not tolerate any government involvement in the private section. If 20,000 - 40,000 Americans die each years as a result of lack of coverage, well, that's just the price to be paid.

Insurance companies charging annual premiums increases of 20-40%, just a decent return of their investment.

Republicans love the reconciliation process when they initiate it. Only the GOP could turn a majority vote into a ramming process. They have no shame. They are beyond being embarrassed.

They didn't even invite the GOP to the table. They owned the House, the Senate and the White House. As soon as Scott Brown was elected and the filibusterproof Senate was broken, did the Democrats look to be bipartisan? NO...they backdoored an older version of the bill back thru the House to avoid a Republican from ever laying a pen on it.

YES! Republicans would try to block even the Health Care Reform Bill they drew up. As an example I give you the unemployment benefits extension which was a bi-partisan bill, created and crafted equally by both Republicans and Democrats.

All I want for Christmas and my birthday for the rest of my life is the recipe the Republicans use to get people to vote against their own best interest over and over again, then believe them the next time and forget everything horrible they ever do.

Ram is a Republican word. Reconciliation is the word Democrats want to use on the health care bill.

Yes, pass the bill through the process called reconciliation. Repubs had used it more than Dems . So what's the problem?

Are you in favor of breaking senate rules and disregarding the legislative process? Based on your question, I'd say you are. Reconciliation under the Byrd Rule is not supposed to be used to pass anything but BUDGETARY proposals/measures. Democrats blasted the Republicans for using it in THAT context! And now they're not only using it themselves, contrary to what the American people desire, but they're willing to break senate rules and violate the legislative process to do so! If they succeed, I see a Supreme Court challenge to the legislation in the works!

oops - my bad.

I agree. Ram it through. I think we should simply disregard the Republicans - they aren't interested in ANYTHING but opposing President Obama, and I'm tired of it.

Most Americans are too.

No, because republicans haven't had control of the ENTIRE GOVT for Decades! Its actually been the Liberals who continued to reject Republicans bills to reform Healthcare! Obama even voted against tort reform and lifting mandates when he was in the Senate. Both best Ideas to lower costs of medical care and insurance, Liberals rejected because they couldn't get control of our healthcare if they passed those bills! Its sickening how greedy and selfish these liberals are! They want to CONTROL YOU! WAKE UP!

Republicans have historically opposed legislation that benefits working families, so I see nothing to indicate it's any different in this case.
