Question:
Election 2010? What if there is a hung parliament?
2009-10-29 01:38:03 UTC
I know that Labour will win, however the Tories best possible chance is to get a hung parliament. If there is a hung parliament, what happens? Can we collaborate with the Ulster Unionists? Will that be enough to form a government against a Labour/Lib Dem coalition.
If no coalition, what next another 5 years before an election?
I seriously need to know these things because we aint staying in this s hit hole whilst Labour put us through their hellish and tortourous rule for another 5 years!!

I for one would rather not see a hung parliament, nothing gets done that needs to be done because each party would have different views on things

I will go even further and say I would much rather see a Labour Party victory, A Conservative victory would mean doom and gloom for both Working Class and Middle Class people.

The only people to benefit from a Conservative victory would be the rich and privileged.

Big business would be delighted and people like BUPA would be jumping for joy knowing that it would not be long before the Conservatives privatised the NHS.

If there was a hung Parliament I doubt very much if it would be 5 years before another General election took place.

I think that it is likely, with the SNP holding the balance.

A new election would produce the same result. Then what?

The SNP would push for independence, for that is their purpose.

It would be very difficult for the majority to refuse them an independence referendum.

If the choice was Labour or the SNP, it is likely Scotland would vote for independence.

Note: I fully expect the Lib Dems to form a pact with Labour, because that is why they were set up for by Woy Jenkins and co.

Also that is what they always do. The Tories are wrong. A Lib Dem vote is not a wasted vote. It is a Labour vote.

If there is a hung Parliament the Election will have to be held again. This is what happened in 1974. Labour won the second Election under Harold Wilson.

Labour, the LIbDems, the SNP, Plaid Cymru, some Ulster MPs and the only green MP will style a coalition, because of the fact all of them stand to income from P.R. P.R. would be presented this 12 months, then the coalition will crumple in 12 months, and in 2011 we are going to have yet another customary Election. The BNP will acquire 6 million votes: UKIP 9 million. .

You know that Labour will win? Really? Can I borrow your crystal ball to get saturday's lottery numbers? How can you know they will win!

The Lib Dems will not side with Labour, unless they offer them something really good, because they don't agree with Labour's policies. But if no larger coalition government can be formed, then the parliament will be dissolved, not after five years but as soon as no agreement can be made, and another election held.

at the moment in polls the swing to the tories is about enough to

give them a majority of about 100 in the general election but with

the liberals staying where they are the scottish national party with

a fair size increase in mp's and the bnp gaining a few seats.

it rather loks like it will be a hung parliament with the balance of

power in the snp's hands.

Labour might not win unless they change and show the us that they have done so and get really really tough on immgration and evade further scandals and introduce changes that are worth it!! I don't really want the Tories in power as there gonna make us look ridiculous with their cuts!

We may have the UU invovled if there is sucha thing but we'll see!!

"Political Correctness" indicates there would be one less for the next 'round' - Hang in there the B.N.P.. (UKIP wasn't much good on "The Politics Show" 1st Nov.. Even if we got a 'referendum' what questions would there be - not to come out, that's for sure.
