Most presidencies rarely if ever use executive orders save for "exceptional circumstances"...do his sweeping and ill thought out actions indicate he's crazy?

$2billion for international abortion industry
stopping tribunals on 9-11 and USS Cole terrorists at Gitmo, no idea where to put prisoners but closing it
releasing ALL information by FOIA (very dangerous as we are still at war)
reversing ALL Bush's policies on vetting federal employees
SCHIP for illegals

and TODAY he seeks to STOP ALL OFFSHORE DRILLING

As someone who didn't vote for Obama, I understand what executive orders are for, and that it is normal for a new president to issue them. EOs are simply how the President issues changes in how the executive branch operates. They are used to change policies and for reorganizations of departments, etc. Whether I agree with the EOs he issues or not, this is all very much SOP. Perfectly legal and within the framework of the Executive powers given the President in the Constitution.

he told us he was going to do all these things and many people still voted for him. closing Gitmo, stopping the investigations, releasing prisoners are all pay backs for his illegal campaign contributions. The media will not allow them to be investigated. We know what the last ban on offshore drilling cost us. I would rather have American drillers developing off shore rather than Venezuela, Mexico, and China

zzzzzzzzzzzzz. I can barely keep my eyes open zzzzzzzzzzzz I thought the neo-cons had faded away zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

After controlling Congress from 1992 to 2006 and the White House for the last 8 years, American voters have seen what a house of cards the Republicans have built. And now we will return to the rights of the Constitution.

Your fear tactics will work no more. America will once again be the land of the free not controlled by the far right minority. Thank GOD!!!

Did you have access to television in January 2001? This is not unusual behavior at all for new administration (at least when changing parties)

It's going to be fun. How much longer before Bush's ratings go up dramatically ?

He is power hungry and will slowly erode what freedoms we have left. Remember, every time he says" invest" or "investment", it's a new or higher tax .

He's either trying to do a good job or acting like a dictator.

I know you are used to Presidents taking vacations and not actually doing anything in office. That will change with this President. I know you are fearful of change and accomplishment, but it is just because of the past 8 years of incompetence and unwillingness to change. You'll get over it.
