Most christian message boards will ban you and remove your postings if you say things against Bush or Iraq. They are very sensitive about this. However, it is ok you slam obama on their boards. I find this hypocritical

IF you are not a Christian, then why are you posting on their boards?

You say Most.. What are you attacking all Christian boards with obama support, and anti McCain?

If your a Christian and Obama supporter, I think you would be left explain how you ignore the issues such as Abortion, and Gay marriage, etc..

I seriously do not see how a message board deleting answers is attacking the first amendment. If it was A Government Christian Blog, then ok..

But that wouldn't make sense either would it?

If the message board is publicly owned and operated, meaning that it's owned by a public group, state organization, or federal organization, then they can't legally ban a person for comments they make.

However, if the message board is privately owned and operated, meaning that its owners are either private persons, or organizations, then they are well within their rights to censor content that they deem offensive or against their rules.

Look at YA, see that report button? It's the same thing. YA is a privately owned message board, and thus they can (and do) censor questionable content, questions, and answers.

As said many times, private board, means they can do what they want.

But for some reason I highly doubt that *MOST christian board are for bush and this war. The christians I know are more libertarian, definately anti war, but also anti neocon and anti democrat.

True Christians follow God's law, not man's. They also know better than to believe that Obama is the anti Christ, since they have studied the scriptures--unlike those who spread such garbage. True Christians also know that our political process is only temporary, so you won't find them arguing over who should be the president.

You are stretching.

1) Courts have ruled that you have no 1st amendment rights on sites such as this, it is up to Yahoo to decide

2) Several of my 'Obama' questions have been deleted

3) This is elections, Bush isn't up for re-election.

4) Quite whining.

The bigger general concern about the First is not that people limit speech (the first answerer is quite correct, no-one has any obligation to promote a view they don't believe), it's to do with separation of church and state.

Why does Yahoo Answers ignore the 1st Amendment?

Yahoo will censor any negative question or answer concerning the great god Obama. I had a question censored today! It was:

"Since brother Obama is getting the black vote, and since Paris Hilton would get the brainless vote, shouldn't they be on the same ticket to ensure a 100 percent Democrat voter turnout?"

This was censored. Why? There is nothing wrong with it, no cussing or anything like that. The reason is because Yahoo is 100 percent behind Obama and will not tolerate any criticism of their great god.

Wow, so now all republicans are christians?. Must be because anyone who doesn't agree with you is automatically a christian or a republican, guess I'm in the right group.

If its their board then its their rules... the first amendment doesn't apply to that.

It WOULD apply if they removed posts from someone else's board.

Fear the christian and degrade them because they are the majority in this country. Your perverted minority views can then seem more reasonable.

The 1st Amendment gives people the right to free speech. It does not give a privately-operated message the obligation to disseminate that speech. So, I don't know if it is hypocritical, but it is certainly slanted.

Not really as they view Obama as an Anit Christ so its fair game to slam a person they perceive as the ENEMY

If you slam Obama here you get your account deleted and your questions don't show up.

PS. We aren't a theocracy, so why do you care what Christians do?
