The moderates need to kick the dusty old conservatives out of the party. The conservative wing is useless and does nothing for the party to move forward. We need the new generation and the moderate views to change the GOP to the (BNP) Brand New Party!

I'm sure they will try. But the real question is will anyone believe them? They are shameless to get the votes. The only reason they are even trying to re-brand themselves is that nobody is voting for who they actually are. So they have to pretend to care about the poor and immigrants. Pretend and pray that nobody remembers what pieces of .s.h.i.t.s. they have become.

Brand new is same old shiite. Re-brand all you want GOP, the problem is not that your message did not get out to voters, it's your real message was loud and clear. 5 million more Americans went the other way.

When I see BNP I think of the British National Party, which is the white nationalist party...

Um, issue is that there are three basic types of people that make up the Republican party:

Libertarians who don't want to actually vote Libertarian.

Tea Party/Religious Right and hardcore Constitutionalist types who vote Republican because they think Democrats are Communists who want to take away their guns.

Moderates/small business owners and upper middle income people who think tax rates are too high.

The reason the first and third sets are less visible is that they are more urban, and the party needs the second set to win key states and counties, e.g. the rural areas, and need to appeal to the second set to do that.

it seems astonishingly unlikely. among other things, I doubt the conservative wing has any intention of releashing its death grip on the GOP.
