Are we as Americans really as Dumb as the News Media thinks?

I believe the largest majority of America are far far more intelligent than the media is betting their chips on----most people do realize the media is biased---and we also know who the grand puppet-master is-------How many of you believe in the intelligence of the American Voters will prevail?

I do believe the American voters are much smarter than the media as we have to live with the reality of our votes . and their pushing candidates down our throats only anger us. and we will less likely vote for that candidate.So the media will be the loser here.

Whether they know it or not, most members of the media are insulting our intelligence, and to make matters worse, we let them get away with it.



An example: They shout the praises of Obama (or McCain) and present those guys to us as the Best and Brightest candidates for the highest office in the U.S. I'm not naieve enough to believe that. There's gotta be at least two candidates out there who are better that those two guys.



Another example: The media has reported faithfully to us about global warming ,carbon footprints, and that the end is near. They need to set an example and put their money where their mouth is, and cut out every bit of advertising that appears in their newspapers.Then their carbon footprint will drop from a size 18 to a size 4.

For example, you say Americans are more intelligent but provide no proof. There are books written on how dumb the American people ("How Stupid Are We" is the latest) but I imagine you haven't read it. To give you an example, most people can't point Iraq on a map (including McCain now I guess).



You say the Media is biased but they just let McCain say the Surge happened before Bush introduced it in January. To not call a lie a lie is the fundamental bias of media, and it helps the liars - who are mainly the Republican politicians. 80% of Republicans said that Iraq had something to do with 9-11, and that is how Bush got elected (and other similar lies). All becuase the press is biased against the facts.

I think that the American intelligence will prevail, maybe not this election, but soon in the future, Americans will see that they just vote in puppets that are placed there...I mean seriously, not one conservative really wants McCain there, the media just built him up and now he is the republican candidate...that is why I am voting 3rd party this year, to show people in the polls that there are other choices besides puppet candidates.
