Question:
IS IT TRUE THAT THIS TIME BJP IS GOING TO WIN A NUMBER OF SEATS IN WEST BENGAL?
2009-05-05 02:24:12 UTC
voters in west bengal are fed up with both trinamool-congress alliance & left. they think both are anti-development.
Trinamool leader Mamta Banerjee practically drove Nano out of the state.
Left is also anti-development as they are against Nuclear Bill.

People also think that voting for Trinamool or Left actually the same as both will probably support Cong. at the centre.

That is why there is a swing in favour of BJP and it can win a number of seats.

Earlier when BJP was in power in centre, they made Tapan Sikdar a minister and he is still regarded as a honest leader.

The fact that Nano plant has gone to Gujarat also made urban people think that BJP is probably the best choice when development is concerned.

Bjp is their last lifeline. Other parties are going to eat that state alive which they have done till now.. Mamta behaved like a potato and ousted nano which had come to make life better. Such a pity.

We used to always pity bihar before because of wrong people coming to power and now we feel pity for bengal. Bihar has fought its way across and come out as a winner in the end. Now, we should be proud of bihar.

It is a critical scenario and the job is a serious one. This job needs hard work and bjp if voted to power will make sea change in the way bengal functions.

BJP has no presence in West Bengal and people of India has no future with BJP. A party that in 21 century talks about religion instead of development cannot be a future of country.

Are you forgetting, BJP also opossed nuclear deal???? Who is Tapan Sikdar? Being honest does not help, being active helps. If a central minister is not known by the countrymen, then he is inactive and he is of not use.

Did anyone ever thought, what did BJP got out of Nano moving to Gujrat?

Mamta Banerjee minus her ego and stubbornness is the best politician for India. If anyone questions her honesty and attachment for lowest class, I don't buy it. These kind of people are not very good when given very powerful positions. Also these kind of people are very unpredictable. That is why I cannot really answer your question. She has said in past that wants to be the chief minister of West Bengal and that too not long back just when she declared that she would not contest in election. It would be a big media news if she decides not to be chief minister of West Bengal in the event her party has chance to be in power, but for me it would not be surprising.

BJP's vote percentage will increase this time, I believe. Whether that will convert to seats or not is difficult to say at this moment. If BJP get at least two seats this time, I will think the pattern is changing.

The people of West Bengal never follow any national pattern in voting. Yes it is true that general public is not happy with the performance of left front but the culture and education of Bengalis are such that they will never vote en mass for a party which ask for vote on religious line. This truth Mamata's Trinamul Congress realized in the last election That is why this time Mamata decided to align with Congress which is a secular party. This time it is expected that Trnamul and Congress combine will be able to make adent in the left citadel i.e. West Bengal. BJP is again going to return empty handed.

Well i sure hope so. We need to close that border with Bangladesh and stop the huge influx of illegal migrants coming to India. If the Bengal people get out of the redundant Communist philosophy that cannot motivate individuals to achieve anything. Where is the money going to come from to help the poor if government owns all the means of production. Everyone knows that "Government efficiency" is an oxymoron.

BJP IS BEST CHOICE FOR ALL>Hand over west bengal to them and they will change its face like they are doing in gujrat, madhya pradesh, chattisgarh, HP,uttrakhand and Bihar.

I wonder if Indian Express ever carry an article regarding the development of these states during BJP time and during other govt time. Advice and give fair account of what they have done rather then harping about only Gujrat riots and no mention of GODHRA Carnage.

No.

99% it is UPA will only win all over India. This election is fixed for UPA.

Also, UPA cannot afford to lose this election. But who is giving money, is not known. Who is doing to make UPA win nobody knows. But UPA will win.

99% chances are that UPA will win due to unknown scam.

Yes it is true, they are going to win a number of seats.

That number is ZERO.

What an ambitious thought. Winning in Bengal means terrorists could be escorted to Bangladesh instead of Khandahar.
