Question:
What's wrong with John McCain?

(This is coming from a non-supporter of Obama or McCain.)

With people in the crowd yelling things such as "Kill Him!" Or "Terrorist!" This great man said nothing to these people.

I'm quite sure Obama would've said something if one of his people said something like this.

I'm starting to think more and more, with the aformentioned, the fact he doesn't even look Obama in the eyes during debates, his total disregard for poor people among other things, the "maverick" is a typical old racist person.

Before you throw that off as the "race card", remember (At least from my personal experience) that most people in his age group are actually racist.

Can America afford 8 more years of someone who looks at minorites/poor/middle class people as the **** on the bottom of his shoes?

What's wrong with your hearing? You heard the crowd yelling, but you didn't hear McCain defend Barack. Interesting. There's that Democratic selective hearing again.

In John McCain's defense, he DID say to one questioner that Obama is a decent man, a family man, and that he is not something the world need fear should he get into office. McCain said, candidly, he just wants to be president instead.

He told another woman who said she didn't trust Obama because he was an Arab, "No. He's a decent family man. "

Now, you can infer from that that McCain doesn't think Arabs are decent family men, but I don't think that is a fair assessment. I think he was just trying to put out some of the flames that his own campaign has fanned.

I believe McCain is an honorable and brave man.

What is "wrong with John McCain" is that he is more rigid in some approaches to life due to his age. He's often been in a tough fight, and he sees many problems that are NOT fights as If you are not for me you are against me. It served him well when he was a prisoner. In addition, he has a more fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants approach to problem solving due to his personality. There is a reason he was a pilot rather than a statistician or logistics coordinator in his service.

Obama is more flexible because he's seen life from lots of different perspectives. Thus, he's more willing to listen to lots of views before he makes his decisions. All I've read says he's very deliberative in the problem solving process. I like that about him.

I am, by the way, an Obama supporter.

What's wrong with McCain?

For 1), he has to run for office after the worst administration in history.

2) Sarah palin has alienated more voters than she's attracted.

3) McCain suspended his campaign to go back to Washington to help with the Wall Street bailout, so right or wrong, voters are placing the blame on him.

4) McCain has voted in lockstep with Bush, yet he has the nerve to speak about change?!

5) McCain still insists on giving tax breaks to the rich and the oil companies when middle America is hurting.

6) He flipped flopped on torture and caved into Bush

7) He has no idea how to get us out of Iraq.

8) McCain has consistently voted against helping our returning veterans.

9) McCain was a war hero 40 years ago, but he appears out of touch today.

10) The McCain of 2000 would not recognize, nor vote for the McCain of 2008.

11) Rather than tell the American people his solutions to our nation's troubles, he has brought his campaign down into the gutter by consistently attacking Obama. America wants solutions, not lies and fear.

There's many more, but that's enough for now.

question obviously comes from liberal nutjob who stereotypes all old americans as racists.when has McCain ever disregarded the poor? a good example would be like saying they are ignorant people clinging to their guns & religion. OOPS, wait, OBAMA already said that. maybe something about a typical old person being a racist.OOPS, wait, THAT'S WHAT U SAID.McCain has consistently disagreed with bush on a number of issues(why do u think he's nicknamed "maverick") the last 8 years and it is unfair and inaccurate to try and covince people he is another bush. McCain is on record and in today's news reports saying he does not agree with or condone those extreme sentiments about obama being a terrorist or dangerous. he also has an adopted daughter from bhangladesh. U, liberal nutjob, are the one who is disregarding and discriminating against the elderly and spewing unfounded comments of hate and prejudice against republican.

I think it took a lot of courage for John McCain to stick up for Barack Obama in those town hall meetings - but there are millions of Americans absolutely terrified of an Obama Presidency... and with good reason.

We are all going to live to regret this decision - a liberal tax-raising President, with a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress?

My God - if you think the economy is bad now...

I am bothered by this too. It also bothers me that his first wife stayed faithful, took care of their kids and then got into an accident all while he was at war. She went through alot and was disfigured. He left her. Walked out on her for a rich woman 18 years younger than him. Obviously i am voting for Obama. McCain can "my friends" all he wants. His morals are very messed up.

Clearly you're an Obama supporter. Right?

We won't have 4 more years of Bush because Bush isn't running. And maybe all Republicans are alike to you, but just because you're ignorant doesn't mean everyone else has to be as well.

McCain wasn't at a lot of those rallies where this happened. Palin was and she couldn't take control. She is just a woman who talks a lot.

McCain addressed that and asked that people be respectful of Obama. And the media doesn't report on the rants and smears called out at Obama rallies but it happens too.
