Did you know Terry Anderson, longest held Hostage in Iran, (God Bless Him) is a very Stout Democrat?

McCain is proud of his Military Service and being a POW. Please take a look and Mr. Anderson's story and consider why he is against the Republicans War Stance. I met Mr. Anderson when he campained for Ted Strickland, who is now Senator of Ohio.

Ted Strickland is the governor.



And Terry Anderson was not a POW (military). He was the victim of a horrendous terrorist kidnapping while he was a foreign correspondant in Beirut, Lebanon. Kidnappings and other terrorist acts were very common back then. Foreign correspondants are frequently in dangerous situations and unfortunately, it turned ugly for Anderson. He endured a terrible ordeal and has the right to feel anyway he wants to. However, that is the terrible risk that journalists face when they are sent to cover dangerous areas. He has worked very hard to find ways to help protect journalists.



I'm sure his take on the situation is colored heavily by the experiences he had. It is but one perspective that one can weigh if they so choose.

I appreciate the service of both Anderson and McCain, however I don't believe that either gain any real credibility solely due to the fact that they are POW's.

I actually DID know that. Ironically, Terry Anderson and his family lived in the same town as I in Southeastern Ohio. I went to school with his daughter Sulome.



I have to admit it surprised and tickled me a little to see his name pop up on here. I don't know why, as it was a very large national story about his homecoming and all, but he's still just another neighbor to me.

So their are others that were POW some are republican some are democrat so what is your point? Because Terry Anderson is a democrat & a POW we should vote democrat? Everyone has their own point of view & their spin. No one tells me how to vote I think for myself.

Well, just because he was the longest held hostage does not make him immune to being foolish.
