Dem's usually get union voters, do auto unions feel like they are getting shafted by the Dem's, because they?

aren't willing to drill for more oil to keep lower gas prices which helps supports the sale of new cars that helps the auto unions?

The Unions buy the phony promises the Dems make every time election comes around, Maybe this time they will refuse to buy them. But I dont think so.Its the members money they give away.

I do NOT feel shafted by the unions, How ever I Do feel shafted by this current administration for letting America get into the situation that IT is in now! The good old boys in the oil industry want to drill here saying it will reduce the cost at the pump is just another lie aimed to make more record profits. But you Conservatives will never admit the obvious. Wake up child and quit buying them damn Japanese cars and buy American. People that think like you are deluded with the Republican propaganda.. Since things have fallen apart in the last 8 years because of you brilliant Conservatives you want more; I say the Republicans can wallow in there own PUKE!

Interesting point. If someone were to drill for known and unknown sources of oil that would only help for a short time. The amount we know about today would only last 228 days if America relied on it. Estimations show that there is only about 5 years worth of oil which includes offshore, north dakota, and alaska, we can drill for. This has been hardly worth the cost for big oil to pursue. Of course, if taxpayers will buy the stuff they're down.

Well, first the dems are going to tax these companies more, so that the companies will have to cut jobs, invest less in the economy (because the rich ARE the ones that invest in our economy) raise the price of cars to compensate for the tax increases.....then eventually move their company out of the country where they don't get ridiculously high taxes and can actually sell their product at a decent price. Yeah, the democrat economic plan can only be sold to the blind and ignorant. Not those who can think ahead past Obama's "fantasy" words.

It isn't gas prices that are causing the decrease in the auto industry...it is the uncertainty in the economy. I was going to buy a really nice car this year...I could afford it...was going to pay mostly in cash. But instead because I see how the economy is going I decided to sell my car and just have one car for the family.

I looked at the FEC web site and who is supporting the presidential candidates.
Most of Obama's money is coming from Moveon.org and Health care unions. Do you think that's because they LOVE the idea of the government taking over health care?
Do you know what happens when doctors, dentists and optometrists know that the government will pay a bill?
With me, the bill automatically doubles or triples. No wonder they're throwing so much money his way!

Detroit would do better to make CNG fueled and electric cars.
McCain has told factory workers that their jobs are not coming back. That is giving up! If Detroit m akes cars people want, their jobs will be safe.

Your assumption is flawed.
Drilling for oil will have no effect on the price of gas.
Even republicans and oil company execs know this.

Why don't the car makers make smaller cars that don't waste so much gas. Americans are too wasteful

There is not one bit of your question that makes sense.
